A report by state department, sharply criticized Democratic Presidential front runner Hillary Clinton by saying that her use of personal email account and private server created security risks.
Those who are not aware of the email scandal, check the brief below –
Hillary Clinton email controversy began in March 2015, when it became publicly known that Hillary Clinton, during her tenure as United States Secretary of State, had exclusively used her family’s private email server for official communications, rather than official State Department email accounts maintained on federal servers.
Those official communications included thousands of emails that would later be marked classified by the State Department.
She also deleted 32,000 email communications considering them private before handing over the account details to the state department.
Now, this report has given the Republican runner Donald Trump ample ammunition to sharpen his attacks on Hillary Clinton, who he calls “Crooked Hillary”. In several occasions in the past, he has questioned Mrs. Clinton’s running for Presidency as she is under Federal investigation.
This report is from first official agency that sharply criticizes Hillary Clinton. The department’s inspector general said that Hillary Clinton hadn’t sought legal approval to conduct official business on her private home server and it would have been turned down if asked.
FBI is separately investigating Clinton, which could turn into criminal charges.
Mr. Trump has accused that Mrs. Clinton is being protected by the Democrats.
